Disciplinary

Disciplinary Process

As per the Scottish Golf Code of Conduct, Linlithgowshire Golf Association expects all participants in our competitions to respect the Rules of Golf, their playing companions, the host club (and its course and staff), and anyone else connected with the organisation of the competition at all times.

Scottish Golf’s Code of Conduct should be considered the minimum standard expected by anyone participating in an LGA event.

Any incident which falls short of these very reasonable expectations may be reported in writing to the Secretary. On receipt of a complaint the following process will be followed in all cases:

  1. The LGA Office Bearers will consider whether the complaint requires further action or investigation.
  2. Where further action or investigation is considered appropriate, the complaint will be referred to the home club of the player who the allegation has been made against.
  3. The home club will consider the complaint using its own disciplinary process and will advise LGA of the outcome.
  4. Where the complaint is upheld by the host club, the LGA Office Bearers will consider whether sanctions additional to that imposed by the home club are appropriate and advise the home club accordingly.
